I've loved this story for years. I had it in hardback when it was Cosmic Christmas. If lost the book and was disappointed when I looked for the Kindle version. Luckily I realized this was the same story with a different title. It's a powerful story and a fresh perspective. I read it aloud to my family at Christmas an get choked up every time.
One of my favorite Christmas stories! An interpretative fiction account of Gabriel's first hand encounters on the night of Jesus birth. Great story line and strong theme of God's holiness and tender heart for His people in sending Emmanuel, Himself, to redeem His people.
It's a nice story. I like the way he brings scripture into the parts that are Biblical, and he explains that the rest is just what could have happened. It's good to expand our minds and think of these things in a new light. I personally thought that $1.99 was a little high for as short as the book was. It is really short.
Max Lucado never disappoints. I would recommend this book to everyone, well maybe not small children because of the descriptive way the demons are described.Jennifer Taylor
I first read this book 4 years ago and cannot put into words the impact it had. I've always loved Christmas and reading the Bible story of Jesus' birth from the different gospels, but this gives you the story from the angels perspective. And though it's fiction, the words and thoughts ring with the truth of the scriptures. This story will bring the Christmas story alive in a new way. Definitely a must read!!!
Beautiful story of the Conception from Heaven's perspective. I purchased this to replace a copy of "Cosmic Christmas" It's the same story, word for word. We love it and read it every year.
The Angel Story was so good. I love how he took characters we know from the Bible and added in a few that may or may not have been there.
For those of you who think angels are are little children with rosy cheeks and wings, this book is not for you. But if you believe in warrior angels then I highly recommend this book. I read this story to a bunch of high school students and they all loved it.
